Worm control in household cats and dogs among pet owners in university of Cyberjaya

Cats and dogs are commonly treated as family members, however, they can serve a vector for zoonotic infections to infect humans. Toxocara canis Dipylidium caninum were few of the possible helminths identified among cats that harm both animals human wellbeing. A cross-sectional survey using adapted questionnaires was conducted pet owners at University Cyberjaya assess whether deworming frequency done by aligned with parasite control guideline determine infection-risk behaviour. The findings showed most common risk factors worm infestation shared allowed go outdoor living children or elderly in same household. average reported 2.2, 2.1, 2.7 2.2 times yearly categories cat A, B, C D accordingly, 2.6, 2.3 year dog respectively. This indicates is inadequate compliance recommended poor therefore improved treatment needed.
